Amadivo

The Amadivo Company deals with the production of bitter wine and differs from other Companies because of the infusion of various Italian and imported plants.
The name Amadivo is a crasis that comes out of the words of inspiration “AMAricante” and “aperitIVO”, which also represent the payoff of the brand: AMADIVO / L’AMARICANTE APERITIVO.
The Company’s goal is to put on the market an innovative product that competes with the classic aperitifs, addressing the super ho.re.ca target.
Our task was to create a label that would highlight both the logo and the Company’s philosophy through an illustration.
The illustration contains three elements that have three different meanings, but, combined, they tell a story. We put together the siren Partenope, which symbolizes the sense of belonging to their land (Naples), a swan, which, in addition to beauty, symbolizes the summer constellation of the swan and indicates the orientation, and a vessel, symbol of the journey and of the port. This maritime metaphor tells of the journey through which the plants, once mature, arrive at their destination to be, together with the indigenous ones, transformed into bitter wine Amadivo. The journey we are talking about does not imply a departure, but an arrival, a meeting of traditions, an exchange of spices and even an intercultural experience.
